ELCT Bukoba Town HC

ELCT Bukoba Town Health Centre (ELCT-BTHC) is a faith-based, non-profit health facility owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania North West Diocese. It was established in 2001 as a clinic under Ndolage Hospital and was upgraded to a Health Centre in 2011.

Located in Miembeni Ward, NBC Street, Bukoba, the centre was founded to improve access to specialized healthcare services. ELCT-BTHC provides both curative and preventive healthcare services to the community regardless of religion, ethnicity or financial status.

The centre’s mission is to provide quality healthcare for the prevention and treatment of communicable and non-communicable diseases, while its vision is to become a leading health centre that meets customer expectations. Its core values are unity, responsibility and efficiency.

ELCT-BTHC serves approximately 10,000–15,000 people and is guided by Christian principles, believing in Jesus Christ as the healer.
