The women s group (Bethania) of Kagera Sugar Parish shines for the Congregation s development
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Abednego Keshomshahara congratulated all women through Bethania association in the NWD, who have continued wholeheartedly to participate in doing God s mission.
He gave these congratulations during his pastoral visit, on Sunday 9th March, 2025 in Kagera Sugar Parish, in the Northern B deanery.
"I register a vote of thanks and appreciate the women for not only developing the modern infrastructure in our church but also taking care of God s servants and I would like to ask you to continue doing our God s work." said Dr. Keshomshahara.
Bishop Dr. Keshomshahara inspired men in that parish to use the same platform in order hold discussion on development issues especially the challenges that have to be adressed in our society and the church at large.
On his side the District Pastor Rev. Anord Mdogo said that for now the Kaskazini Deanery has a plan to build its office building and so he has mobilized church members to contribute so as the said plan may be realized.
Ms. Abela Felix Kabalimu who is a diocesan Chairperson of the women s association (BETHANIA) preaching in the World Prayer Day, reading from the book of 2Timothy 1:5 emphasized on teaching and nurturing children by the guide of the word of God.
The Bethania group in that Congregation have mobilized funds to purchase generator worth 2.3 million shillings which was lauched by the Bishop.
Previously the same Bethania group renovated a church building by foxing tiles on the floor and purchasing the furniture in the house of the Pastor s residential house. This was a very important part of the reinovation which also entails construction of toilets and expansion of the church building
To every successiful group of people, there must be active women.
