Thanksgiving Service Honors NWD Founders and Inspires New Spiritual Commitment
The North Western Diocese (NWD) held a special thanksgiving service on December 7, 2025, at Katare Parish in the Eastern District, led by Bishop Dr. Abednego Keshomshahara.
The Bishop commended representatives of the 60 founding families recognized this year for preserving the legacy of faith passed down by their loved ones. He urged believers to uphold this heritage with integrity and leave a meaningful spiritual footprint for future generations.
Quoting Hebrews 13:7, Bishop Keshomshahara emphasized the importance of remembering those who pioneered the faith and imitating their
good works. The service also featured encouraging messages from Rev. Dr. Sylvester Kahakwa, Parish Pastor Rev. Timoth Kahigi, and Eastern District Pastor Rev. Godlove Marko.
Hon. Erasto Sima, the Bukoba District Commissioner, attended the service and called on religious leaders to keep praying for the nation so that peace and productivity may flourish.
The event concluded with renewed unity, gratitude, and commitment among believers highlighting the enduring impact of the founding families on the mission and identity of the NWD.
