On 20th Mr Obadia Kyakajumba who is payng a visit in Germany, got an opportunity to visit and pray for the late Christianne Auffarth so that she may rest in peace. Obadiah Did that on behalf of friends of the late Rev Aufarth who are so many in the NWD. 
Rev Christianne Auffarth was born in 1943 in Germany. 
She was a missionary in Bukoba from 1970 to 1973. She later came to Bukoba again in 1992 to 2004 when she was teaching Christian education in secondary schools in Bukoba town at Ruhija Evangelical Academy

It was with heavy heart in 2024 to receive sad and heartbreaking news from Germany over the passing away of Rev. Christianne Auffarth. Her funeral was later conducted in Heidelburg in the church semetry. 

The passing away of Rev Christianne was a big blow not only to her immediate family, friends and relatives but also the church in Germany and NWD. 

As a diocese we owe a debt of gratitude to Rev Christianne Aufffarth due to her significant contribution to the NWD. 
May her soul rest in peace
