By Eliud Henry Kwelebela

Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) North-Western Diocese, Dr. Abednego Keshomshahara, led the Sunday service - on the third Sunday before Advent, at Nyankere B congregation, of the Mwemage Lutheran paris, in the North B deanery - Missenyi government District, where he also officially inaugurated the new church building on November 9, 2025.

In his sermon based on the scripture, “He who endures to the end will be saved,” Bishop Dr. Keshomshahara encouraged believers to be patient in their faith journey, saying, “May God help us to endure to the end, for patience is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.”

He explained that perseverance is crucial in family, marriage, community, and church relationships, referring to Matthew 24:23-24, warning about false prophets who will come to deceive God's people and take away their endurance.

He cited examples of people who persevered in the Bible, including Anna, who waited patiently for a child and was answered, Job, who endured great suffering and was blessed, and Jesus Christ, who was humiliated but endured with love.

Bishop Dr. Keshomshahara said the inauguration of Nyankere B Church is a testimony of  perseverance among the believers and leaders who gave their offerings, time, and energy for God's work.

As per welcome note to the Bishop, the construction of the same church building costed Tsh 48,925,000/= to its current state.

The North B deanery Pastor, Rev. Alnord Ndyetabura Mudogo, congratulated the believers of the branch and the Mwemage Congregation Pastor, Rev. Justin Emmanuel, for their selflessness, unity, and faith demonstrated in completing the construction, saying the success is a fruit of perseverance and unity of the believers.

God is good all the time
