Ndolage Institute Graduates 85 Students in Health-Related Fields
A total of 85 students have graduated from Ndolage Institute of Health Sciences, owned by the ELCT North Western Diocese, in various diploma programs including Nursing and Midwifery, Therapy, Social Work and Welfare, and Pharmacy.
The 68th graduation ceremony since the college’s founding in 1954—and the 6th since it was upgraded to an institute—was held on July 18, 2025. This year, 28 students graduated in Nursing and Midwifery, 18 in Therapy, 33 in Pharmacy, and 6 in Social Work and Welfare.
Presiding over the opening worship service, Bishop Dr. Abednego Keshomshahara congratulated the graduates for completing their three-year academic journey.
He encouraged them to uphold the knowledge and values they have acquired and to rely on God for guidance in their professional lives.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Mr. Bosco Mbonde highlighted institutional improvements, including the renovation of the practical training laboratory and an expanded library collection.
Dr. Eliud Bulaya, the Principal of the Institute, announced plans to introduce a Radiology program, made possible by the availability of modern diagnostic equipment at the nearby Ndolage Hospital.
The Deputy General Secretary and Coordinator of Social Services for the Diocese urged the government to streamline the licensing process for health graduates to reduce post-graduation challenges.
The Guest of Honor, Hon. Benjamin Mwikasyege—representing District Council Chairperson Hon. Abel Nyamahanga—commended the Diocese for its continued role in supporting public health services.
He encouraged the graduates to be role models in their communities and to enhance the reputation of the institute through hard work and professionalism.
